Kidmin blogs from the past and who is still blogging

Below is a list of blogs that I knew about back in 2010. Some are no longer blogging, some have changed their names, and some have just quit.

I am finding it interesting looking over this list due to a conversation I had with one of my Kidology Coaching students. Our conversation was over why he no longer follows blogs? His reason, many began to blog about topics that were no longer relavant to him in his children’s ministry situation, or they stopped posting, etc..

What do you think the result of the past 2 years of blogging in the children’s ministry world has resulted in? What have we gained? How has the face of children’s ministry been effected by kidmin bloggers? What do you see as the biggest contributions made?

That is quite a list! For me, the biggest benefit of the kids ministry blog world is the friendship/relationship I have formed with quite a few people through their blog and/or social media sites. I have learned a lot through reading, but even more through interaction.

Will you be doing a a followup with your thoughts on the contributions of the influence of kids ministry blogs?

  • Thanks for the comment. I will do a follow up down the road if there seems to be a big enough interest in it.

May I ask you since this is the first time I have heard from you in this blog, what kind of post spark your interest to comment on? I find with mine, more people read but do not comment and so the social part doesn’t seem to be there.

Sorry Todd, I just now noticed your reply to my comment. I also do not receive many comments on my posts.
I tend to post comments on posts that interest me, ask a question of the author or sometimes to attempt to create a conversation.
